Meanings – humanity as a whole, human experience, the self

Remain modest – that is the right of the oracle.  Be in the world, but not from the world.  Stay receptive to impulses, that come out of the divine in the inner and outer sphere.  Seek to live the usual life in an unusual manner.

If you take the ‘itself’ rune and cut through it in the middle, you are going to receive the rune of joy and its reflection.  So there is a fine warning not to be careless. The acrobatically dancing energy of the balance is asked here to bring its higher itself.  Nothing in the excess – that was the second request that was to be read at the entrance to the Delphi temple.  The first advice read:  Recognize you yourself!

Interpretations – This rune symbolizes humankind as a whole, combining human intellect, memory, common sense, traditions, values, creative endeavors, and cultures. It’s a reminder that we all have a shared experience here on earth despite our differences. To be spiritually aligned, you must create harmony with mind, body, and spirit. Mannaz encourages us to have total acceptance in all things, for who is to say what is good or bad? Know that every adventure or encounter will help you to become more educated about life itself. Seek to live an ordinary life in the most EPIC way possible!

If reversed – You may be isolating yourself from others because you feel like you don’t fit into society, and this may be causing depressing or low self-esteem. It may also indicate that you have been out of touch with your intuition or higher self. Take the time you need to practice self-care and to heal. Recharge yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically so you’ll be ready to help when you’re ready.
