Oil. Black Gold. Texas Tea. – How it’s actually created

Contents

it is not a “fossil fuel” – this was a made-up term to create a sense of scarcity

it is a constantly renewing resource – oil wells refill.

Seawater – at the deepest levels of ocean it is under insane pressure. This forces the water down into the rock bed, between fissures. The increased pressure heats up the water, but the sheer weight of pressure removes it’s ability to boil to release the heat. Which increases the heat even more…

When the heat becomes so high that the O and H molecules separate – without the ability to boil and become steam. Hydrogen, because it is literally twice the Oxygen in this process then forms the bulk of the individual molecules in this resulting mix. Those molecules attract carbon – carbon is the MOST numerous molecules on earth. When these (hydrogen and carbon) are joined, they are then squeezed back up through the rock under immense pressure as oil. This is an inexhaustible resource.
